FLEX Curriculum Content Producer | The Profession | [Remote, Contractor]

Do you love writing lesson plans, researching artists, or developing ideas for innovative assessments and resources? Increase your impact in the field of Art Education as a FLEX Producer. We are looking for individuals to produce original lessons (we’ll send you a professional light kit to make your work shine!) resources, and assessments based upon your interests and skills. Are you looking for a way to earn money on the side? We will look at all applications on a rolling basis. [Project Based, Contracted, Remote]

The Details | FLEX Curriculum Content Producer | 

Essential Functions

Content producers may express interest in doing one or all of the items listed below. 

Create Original lessons

  • Write original lesson plans that reflect standards alignment.
  • Create artwork samples that align with lesson steps.
  • Apply backwards design to lesson and unit writing.

Write Artist Bios

  • Research historical and contemporary artists.
  • Apply the FLEX artist biography format and write about select artists.

Design Resources and assessments

  • Develop ideas for new FLEX resources and assessments and bring them to life. 
  • Collaborate with FLEX Curriculum Designers to create innovative resources and assessments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in K-12 art education or related field for writing artist biographies.
  • Preferred advanced degree
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Open to suggestions and feedback.
  • Passion and knowledge about up-to-date trends and best practices in art education. 
  • Organized and responsible with deadlines.
  • Comfortable and proficient with technology.

Position Requirements


  •   BS in Art Education or related field


  • 7 years k-12 teaching experience or related field

Compensation and Benefits


Structured as a contracted position.  Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.  Payroll is issued once the project is complete on the 15th of the month.  This position is flexible with no required sign in or meeting times. Project scope and due dates are discussed and agreed upon.



Share what concepts or media you are passionate about and interested in adding to FLEX. Include information about what type of content you’re interested in creating, lessons, artist bios, resources, and/or assessments. 

Please submit a link to work samples that are related to the type of content that you wish to create for FLEX (Google Doc, PDF, etc). Be sure to include photos of a completed art example when applicable.
