Business Intelligence Manager

The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking a highly driven Business Intelligence Manager to scale our business intelligence and analytics ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our business intelligence data pipeline. Partnering with business leaders in marketing, sales, product, and operations, they will identify and engineer solutions that enhance AOEU team members' ability to make data-driven decisions. Additionally, they will champion the selection and successful implementation of ERP and related systems that are core to AOEUs data ecosystem. 

This is a new role within AOEU. We are looking for a candidate that is excited about the opportunity to build this practice from the ground up, establishing best practices for business intelligence and collaborating with business leaders across the company to integrate the effective capture and use of data in our DNA.

This position will operate within the Product Division, reporting to the Chief Product Officer. The Product Division within AOEU is responsible for instantiating all aspects of AOEUs digital presence. We value data-driven decision-making, customer-centric design, and a growth-oriented mindset.

The Details | Business Intelligence Manager |

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop reporting, and perform analysis on business performance, including operational, financial and, product 
• Partner with business leaders to develop and enable high-quality operational monitoring, growth and continuous improvement KPIs 
• Perform requirements and design analysis, and project manage engineering and IT teams to implement changes that optimize the data pipeline 
• Maintain a working knowledge of interoperability requirements across enterprise systems, including customer relationship, student information and marketing analytics 
• Perform user acceptance testing and develop end-user documentation for internal teams
• Define and maintain the end-to-end change management lifecycle for enterprise systems development
• Work with senior management to develop goals, objectives, and strategies for improving business performance using BI tools
• Recommend changes to existing business intelligence processes or policies to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with vendors to implement new systems or tools as needed
• Monitor industry trends to identify upcoming challenges or opportunities for the organization

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• 3-5 years of related experience in business intelligence and/or analytics 
• Proficiency with one or more reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI 
• Experience working with most modern enterprise data and operational systems, experience working with Hubspot and Gainsight is a plus
• Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and new technology, and to recommend solutions and alternatives
• Tenacious problem solver with solid inductive and deductive reasoning skills
• Strong technical thinking, analytical, and conceptualization skills
• Experience managing projects; developing schedules, managing stakeholders, and driving teams to project success

Position Requirements

• 5 years of proven experience as a business analyst
• Working knowledge of HubSpot, Gainsight and/or Zapier a plus
• Bachelors of Science in a business or technology-related field from an accredited institution is a plus

THE PROCESS
