Junior Project Manager | The Profession | 


The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking a Junior Project Manager to assist in the management of multiple projects within the Growth Division of the University.  This individual will coordinate and track projects, schedules, and report progress directly with the Chief Growth Officer.  This individual has a passion for project management and is an expert communicator who drives results while simultaneously promotes collegial collaboration.  The Junior Project Manager will exemplify a high degree of organizational skills to help drive the institution’s prioritized projects.  This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.

The Details | Junior Project Manager | 


Essential Functions


Develop Project Plans

  • Develop concrete and detailed plans with the appropriate timeline to ensure continued progression, ownership, and prioritization of projects.
  • Articulates project objectives openly and frequently.
  • Aligns duties and responsibilities of specific team members
  • Identify project goals through open collaboration with necessary stakeholders and team members.
  • Reviews project plans with leadership before initiating project launch.

Monitor Project Progress

  • Manages project progression to ensure projects stay on track and in scope to meet the projected deadline.
  • Holds project stakeholders accountable for all deliverables
  • Facilitates frequent and ongoing communication with project partners to ensure project progression and the achievement of critical milestones and deliverables.
  • Support team members when unanticipated roadblocks appear, providing guidance, and adjusting timelines as necessary.

Report Project Results

  • Collate project data to create a synthesized report to leadership and other stakeholders, articulating project results, setbacks, and areas for improvement or future consideration.

Work Environment




  • Position requires considerable concentration and focus
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift items such as laptops, monitors, and the like.




  • Ability to view computer screens for significant periods.  The Art of Education University is an online university; therefore, 95-98% of one’s time will be on or using technology.
  • Ability to use a laptop or other keyboard with accuracy.
  • Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.


Position Requirements




  • BA is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Project Management Certification strongly required.




  • Demonstrated experience with specific project management methodologies such as SCRUM or Agile.
  • Years of previous project management experience required.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Experience working with remote teams is strongly preferred.


Compensation and Benefits




Structured as a full-time exempt, salaried position, this individual will report directly to E.J. Caffaro, Chief Growth Officer.  Compensation is commensurate with education and experience.  Payroll is remitted monthly on the 15th of each month.  




Group healthcare plans are available.  The Art of Education University will contribute 100% for full-time health dental, and vision, employee-only coverage.  Family coverage is available at an additional premium.


The Art of Education University offers participation, upon hire, in a 401K plan with up to a 4% match of employee contributions.


Appropriate and up-to-date technology is provided.


Unlimited self-managed PTO is offered to full-time employees of AOEU.  Extended vacations must be pre-approved.  Flexibility exists so long as responsibilities are fulfilled and careful planning and communication are evident.
